England FA fined over fans at Euro2012

Updated at 11:27 am on 21 June 2012

UEFA has fined the English Football Association $10,000 after England fans tried to invade the Kiev pitch during their 3-2 win over Sweden in their Euro 2012 Group D match on Wednesday.

England, who won Group D and face Italy in the quarter-finals, are the latest team to be punished by UEFA for crowd trouble at the finals in Poland and Ukraine.

The Croatian Football Federation was fined $150,000 by European football's ruling body for racist chants directed at Italy striker Mario Balotelli while other teams have also had problems with their supporters at the championship.
