NZ's Barbarouses joins Panathinaikos

The New Zealand football international Kosta Barbarouses has been loaned out to Greek Super League club Panathinaikos for next season from Russian side Alania Vladikavkaz, the Athens team has announced.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who has played five times for the All Whites, is a member of the New Zealand team for the London Olympics.

On a club level Barbarouses turned out 13 times for Alania Vladikavkaz last season, scoring two goals.

He has also had spells with the Brisbane Roar, and Wellington Phoenix in the A-league.
