Friend vows to go distance in Warriors return

The Warriors hooker Nathan Friend is back from injury and says he'll play the full 80 minutes in Sunday's NRL clash with the Cowboys at Mt Smart Stadium.

The former Titan is playing his first game in 8 weeks after breaking his jaw in the round nine win over the Broncos.

The Auckland club then lost replacement hooker Alehana Mara to a broken leg in round 14 ago forcing utility Lewis Brown to cover the role since.

The Warriors have suffered without a specialist around the ruck, but it shouldn't be a problem this weekend with Friend vowing to go the distance.
