Kenyan police have charged the world 3,000 metres steeplechase champion Ezekiel Kemboi with assault after a woman said he stabbed her when she declined his sexual advances.
Kemboi, the 2004 Olympic champion, denied the allegations, saying the woman colluded with thugs to rob him and she was injured in the skirmish.
Kemboi has been granted bail until September and he'll be allowed to travel to London for the Olympics.
