The equestrian Andrew Nicholson's confident he'll be riding for New Zealand at the Olympics and that the team will be extremely competitive - if the top riders make it to London.

The five-rider team will be named next Tuesday night and Nicholson appears to be a sure-fire pick - along with the veteran Mark Todd and Jonathan Paget.

Nicholson's riding both this weekend's Barbary Castle event in Wiltshire on Avebury and next week's prestigious Arkin competition in Germany, on his favoured mount Nereo.
