Welshman Jamie Donaldson is a winner on the European golf tour for the first time, after 255 starts going back to 2000 - the year he turned professional.

On a wet, windy final day at the Irish Open, the 36-year-old Donaldson blew away a world class field with a round of 66 to win by four strokes.

Donaldson's week had started in England with a round of 62 at Sunningdale which qualified him for the British Open later this month, and his first round at the Irish Open included his first ever hole in one on the European Tour.
