The Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic netballers have won their ninth straight game, beating the defending champion Queensland Firebirds by 53 points to 43 in Hamilton.
Another 100 percent shooting effort from the Silver Fern veteran Irene van Dyk led the Magic into the playoffs yet again, booking a home minor semi-final against the Adelaide Thunderbirds next Monday night.
The Magic end the trans-Tasman competition's regular season in third place and remain the only team to have made the playoffs every year.
Their captain, Laura Langman says there was no going back once they found their stride.
