The junior New Zealand women's footballers have been handed a tough draw for the FIFA under-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan, landing Japan, Brazil and Mexico in their group for the September finals.
The Young Football Ferns will play all three of their pool games in Baku, the Azeri capital, opening their group against Mexico on September the 23rd, then take on the Asian champions Japan three days later and complete pool play against the South American champions on September the 30th.
Only the group containing powerhouses North Korea, France and the USA could be a tougher one in the 16-nation tournament.
