Coach Kearney under mounting pressure

6:36 am on 9 July 2012

The pressure continues to mount on the Parramatta league coach Stephen Kearney after his side's 40-24 NRL loss to Manly after they'd conceded a 34-nil lead by half time.

A furious Eels supporter hurled abuse at Kearney from the stand as they walked to the dressing room at halftime, and the Kiwis coach looked a picture of frustration as he tried to explain why his players are struggling to do even the basics.

But Kearney insists he's not started to doubt his ability as a coach.

Meanwhile the Warriors moved into the NRL's top eight with their win over Gold Coast, which featured a hattrick of tries for centre Konrad Hurrell, giving him 12 from as many top grade games.
