The Silver Ferns captain Casey Williams is determined to extend her Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic team's winning run to 10 straight games tonight, when the Magic meet the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the trans-Tasman netball championship minor semi-final.
The Magic became the only team to have made the competition's playoffs every year with victory last week over the defending champion Queensland Firebirds, which ensured tonight's home elimination playoff in Hamilton against the Thunderbirds.
Just one loss in that nine-game stretch would have ended the Magic's playoff hopes so Williams is bullish about their chances of going all the way this year.
The winner will play the Northern Mystics in the preliminary final for the right to face the Melbourne Vixens in the grand final.
