New Zealand golfer wins in Tahiti

The New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox's impressive rookie professional season has continued after the Aucklander won the Tahiti International Golf Open Championship.

The 25-year-old, who won the Fiji Open last month, fired a four under par 68 to win by one shot from Australian Terry Pilkadaris.

Fox no plans to play two pro-am events in Australia in late July before trying to qualify for two OneAsia events in August and September, with his focus on building towards PGA Tour qualifying school.

Fellow New Zealanders Pieter Zwart and Brad Shilton finished in a share of fourth and sixth place respectively.
