New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic is through to the semi-finals of the doubles at the Stanford Classic WTA event in California.
Erakovic and her partner Heather Watson of Britain beat the second-seeded Americans, Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears, in a super tiebreak 10-4 after winning the first set in a tiebreak then losing the second 2-6.
Kops-Jones and Spears served their fifth double fault in the super tiebreak to hand the advantage back to Erakovic and Watson, who now face either third seeds Natalie Grandin of South Africa and her Czech partner Vladimira Uhlirova or Eleni Danilidou of Greece and Poland's Ursula Radwanska for a place in the final.
