Crusaders have steely focus for match against Force

1:44 pm on 14 July 2012

Fourth place and a home Super Rugby qualifier is on the line for the Crusaders tonight when they host the Force in Christchurch.

A win would guarantee the Canterbury based side finish in fourth and likely set up a home playoff against the Bulls, Sharks or Reds.

The Crusaders have slipped up against the bottom teams on a couple of occasions this season, but coach Todd Blackadder says there's far too much on the line to let that happen tonight.

The match kicks off at 7:35pm.

Meanwhile the Hurricanes win over the Chiefs last night is all they could do to make the playoffs - they now need at least two of the Crusaders, Bulls, Sharks and Reds to lose if they're to make the post-season.

The Chiefs are guaranteed at least second place and a week off in the first round of the playoffs.
