The New Zealand men's and women's hockey teams have both been beaten in their latest Olympic warm-up matches.
The Black Sticks women were beaten 5-1 by hosts Germany in their final game of the Four Nations Tournament, while the men were beaten 3-2 by the Netherlands in a practice game in Utrecht.
The women's loss meant that Germany won the tournament, with the Black Sticks finishing second based on goal difference, South Africa were third and Belgium fourth.
Midfielder Kayla Sharland says it is a good lesson for them ahead of the Olympics, but it's not a performance they'll worry about too much.
The women now go to the London Olympic village where they will spend two days training before playing a friendly game against France later this week.
The men will depart for the Olympic village in a couple of days where they will train on the Olympic turf and play practice games against Great Britain and Spain.
