Usain Bolt could turn up in Australia this summer, as a big-hitting cricketer in their Big Bash League.

Jamaica's 6-time Olympic track gold medalist told Australia's Channel Nine he had been contacted by Shane Warne about joining the Melbourne Stars club in the Twenty20 league, which begins in December.

25 year old Bolt says he loves Twenty20 cricket, and he first indicated his interest in the Big Bash League early this year.

Melbourne's chief executive Clint Cooper says he's going to re-engage with Bolt and his management company.
