Another close win for NZ under 19 cricketers

The New Zealand Under-19 Cricket side has qualified for the Super League stage of the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Queensland after a hard fought 8 run win over Afghanistan.

After winning the toss New Zealand made 198, while Afghanistan finished their 50 overs at 190 for nine.

It is their second win and they face Pakistan tomorrow and will need to beat them to finish top of their group.

Defending champions Australia are also through to the next stage after their third straight pool win, beating Ireland by 6 wickets.

South Africa and the West Indies are also through.
