Prime TV scored a rating gold during the Olympics with the channel saying they had 83 percent of New Zealanders over the age of 5 tuning into their free-to-air coverage of the London games.
That equates to almost 3 point 4 million viewers.
In total, Prime aired 374 hours of Olympics coverage throughout the Games.
The highest one-off ratings came during the "golden hour" when rowing pair Hamish Bond and Eric Murray and single sculler Mahe Drysdale won their events.
During the Olympics, Prime's average audience overall was 4.5 times higher than in the four week period prior to the Games.
