Argentina near full strength for Championship debut

Argentina makes its Rugby Championship debut against South Africa, overnight in Capetown.

The Puma's will be without their inspirational World Cup captain Felipe Conteponi, whose chosen to stay with his French club Stade Francais.

But apart from the absence of Conteponi, Argentina will be at full strength with the impressive number eight, Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe, to captain a side bolstered by the return of the dynamic fly half, Juan Martin Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Argentina has postponed hosting its round of the 2012-13 Sevens World Series because of logistical problems.

The President of the Argentinian rugby union, Luis Castillo says

the challenges are too significant to successfully deliver an event this year that is beneficial for all stakeholders.

The series kicks off on the Gold Coast in Australia on October.
