The Wellington Phoenix have fined their 3 players who were sent off in the ill-tempered A-League pre-season match against Newcastle on Saturday.
General Manager David Dome says they've taken the incidents very seriously.
Dome says notwithstanding the play that led to the incidents, the Club in no way condones any kind of retribution or fighting in a match.
The three players who were red carded in the match - Manny Muscat, Ben Sigmund and Andrew Durante - have all been fined by the club, and depending on sanctions handed out by the FFA will be stood down for some of the upcoming games on the pre-season tour of India.
Dome says coach Ricki Herbert has taken a strong line with the players, addressing the entire squad and expressing his displeasure.
The Football Federation Australia match review panel will meet today to decide what action should be taken.
