Marouane Fellaini heads Everton to United win

Machester United have stuttered in their opening English Premier League football match, losing 1-0 against Everton at Goodison Park.

Marouane Fellaini's second half header was the difference between the two sides as the Toffees started their season with a win.

Everton came out the stronger of the two teams and after testing United goalkeeper David De Geaon several occassions were unlucky to go into the halftime break.

But United struggled to deal with Fellaini in the air, and just before the hour mark, stand-in defender Michael Carrick could do nothing to stop the Belgian smashing home the only goal from a corner.

United's new signing Robin van Persie came on 10 minutes later but struggled to make an impact as a dogged Everton held on for the win.
