Sir Graham Henry to help coach the Blues

World Cup winning All Blacks coach Sir Graham Henry has been confirmed as a part of the Blues coaching staff for the next Super Rugby season.

Head coach Sir John Kirwan has announced his coaching team of Henry, Mick Byrne and Grant Doorey.

Kiwan, who took over from Pat Lam following their disappointing 2012 season, will look after attack... Henry is a defence and technical advisor.... Byrne, the current All Blacks skills coach, will help the forwards and with kicking... and Doorey, who coached alongside Kirwan in Italy and Japan will be the skills and backline coach.

Kirwan says they've got a lot of work ahead of them but he believes the combination of this coaching group puts the Blues in good hands for 2013.

This is Henry's first coaching post in New Zealand after eight years as All Black head coach, culminating in victory at last year's Rugby World Cup.

Henry coached Auckland from 1992-1997 and the Blues from 1996-1998.... winning the Super 12 competition in 1996 and 1997.
