T20 series ideal World Cup warm-up

The fourth Twenty20 cricket World Cup starts later this month in Sri Lanka and the New Zealand men's team is looking at the upcoming two-match series in India as a warm-up to the tournament.

The first T20 match takes place overnight Saturday-Sunday at Vishakhapatnam and paceman Tim Southee can't wait.

Southee put in one of the best-ever spells with the ball for the Black Caps in a losing effort in the last test at Bangalore, claiming seven wickets, and Southee's sure the T20 series will be the ideal warmup for the World Cup.

He says the return of the former captain Dan Vettori and the experienced bowler Kyle Mills for the T20s in India, as well as all rounders Jacob Oram and Nathan McCullum, will help the Black Caps.

Adam Milne, Rob Nicol and Ronny Hira also come back into the side.
