Another series loss for Black Caps

The New Zealand cricketers have suffered their second straight Test series sweep after losing to India by five wickets in the second and final test in Bangalore.

The Black Caps were given a sniff of success as India lost three quick wickets in the middle of their run chase for 261, but they were safely steered home by man-of-the-match Virat Kohli's 51 not out and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who finished 48 not out. Jeetan Patel took three wickets.

It was an improved effort after their innings defeat in the first test, but not good enough according to captain Ross Taylor.

This loss comes after their series defeat in the West Indies.

Taylor admits the wicket in Bangalore probably helped them with the Indian spinners not playing as big a part.

New Zealand and India now meet in two Twenty/20 matches.
