The Junior New Zealand Warriors have lost a thriller in the National Rugby League's under-20 Toyota Cup playoffs, beaten 39-38 by the Canberra Raiders.
The Raiders led throughout much of the match, but a late surge by the Junior Warriors in the final 20 minutes put them in pole position to win.
But they were undone by a last-minute field goal by Raiders five-eighth Anthony Milford.
However, the Junior Warriors do get a second shot at the playoffs on Saturday in Sydney, against the Roosters.
