7:52 am on 11 September 2012

The Australian cricketers will head to Sri Lanka for the World Twenty20 tournament with winning momentum after bowling Pakistan out for their lowest-ever total of 74 in game three of their series in Dubai.

Pakistan won the series 2-1 but Australia only lost in overtime by one run in game two and continued their improvement today to complete a massive 94-run win.

The lowest score in a T20 International is Kenya's 67 and the Pakistanis were in danger of doing worse with nine wickets down.

Young quicks Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc took three wickets each for Australia.

David Warner (59 off 34 deliveries) and Shane Watson (47 from 32) shared an Australian record opening stand of 111 in a total of 168 for 7 after Pakistan won the toss.
