The former All Black Daniel Braid is back in the Auckland rugby team for Wednesday night's ITM Premiership match against Taranaki at Eden Park.
Coach Wayne Pivac has made three changes to his starting lineup with lock Andrew van der Heijden returning after a shoulder injury while prop Angus Ta'avao and wing Dave Thomas are promoted from the bench.
Braid has been named on the bench, having missed the last four games with a groin injury.
