Police called as Junior Warriors damage hotel

2:00 pm on 20 September 2012

Several players from the Junior Warriors rugby league team will be fined over an incident that occurred at their Sydney hotel last Saturday, following their season-ending finals loss to the Roosters.

Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says further sanctions will also be imposed on the players, who broke club rules for the Juniors by drinking alcohol, also causing minor damage to their rooms and drawing noise complaints from other guests.

The hotel's duty manager called the police though no further action was taken.

Scurrah says they've reimbursed the room charges to the three complainants as well as covering costs for cleaning and the damage, and made an apology to the hotel.
