Tennis New Zealand have confirmed the appointment of the captain and manager for the 2013 New Zealand Fed Cup Team.

Former professional player, Pavlina Nola has been named as the New Zealand Fed Cup captain and Shelley Bryce (nee Stephens) as the manager.

The competition will be held in February next year.

The Asia/Oceania venue will be determined by the ITF (International Tennis Federation) at the end of September.

As a result of the Fed Cup and Davis Cup dates clashing in 2013 current coach Marcel Vos is unable to captain the Fed Cup as well as Davis Cup.

Both Nola and Bryce are former New Zealand No1 players.

Nola had a career-high singles ranking of 68 in 2001.

Bryce reached a career high of 249 in 2001 and is the second most capped Fed Cup player for New Zealand.
