The Australian motor cycling star Casey Stoner has hinted at a future in car racing when he retires from MotoGP at the end of this season.

The 26-year-old, who's recovering from surgery on a broken ankle, says he's always had a passion for V8s, and just recently he's become more interested in a car racing career.

Meanwhile Stoner hopes to be fit in time for his home MotoGP race next month at Philip Island where he's won for the last five years.
