It's more than likely that the New Zealand cricket team will have the services of key bowlers Daniel Vettori and Tim Southee for their opening match at the Twenty20 World Cup against Bangladesh tonight in Pallekelle.

Vettori, Southee and the all-rounder Rob Nicol have been suffering from stomach illnesses and their availability for tonight's game had been uncertain.

But after coming through the team's latest training session, the Black Caps media manager Ellery Tappin says it's highly likely they'll be available for selection.

New Zealand play Pakistan on Sunday night.
