The New Zealand cyclist Linda Villumsen led the peloton home to claim an impressive seventh place in the road race at the Road World Championships in the Netherlands.
The race was won by the Dutch Olympic champion Marianne Vos.
Villumsen was caught up in a major crash on the third lap, which sent her compatriot Kate Chilcot to hospital with a suspected broken wrist.
The other New Zealnders Emily Collins and Emma Crum also failed to finish the race along with half of the 160-strong field.
Seventh place has capped off an impressive week for Villumsen who won a silver medal in the team time trial with her Orica-AIS professional team and a bronze medal in the individual time trial, her fourth straight podium in this event.
