The International Cricket Council has denied that the drinking water supplied to teams at the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka was the cause of players becoming ill, but an ICC spokesman says they have changed the water as a result of an investigation.

Several players, including three New Zealanders and five South Africans, have been struck down by gastro-enteritis since they arrived in Sri Lanka, but the ICC insists there was no evidence to suggest that bottled water was the cause of any illness.
