The draw has been made for the Fifa Club World Cup in Japan in December with Auckland City having a difficult schedule.
As Oceania winners, Auckland City will play the Japanese champions first up and if successful they'll then meet the African champions in the quarter-finals.
A semi-final clash with South American champions Corinthians of Brazil is then in the offing.
European champions Chelsea are on the other side of the draw.
Auckland were beaten in their first match last season, while they made the quarter-finals in 2009.
