Avram Grant suprised Terry ends his international career

The former Chelsea boss Avram Grant says he's surprised that Chelsea defender John Terry has chosen to retire from international football as the Football Association begin his disciplinary hearing.

The 31-year old is accused of "using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour" towards Anton Ferdinand during Chelsea's game at QPR last season.

Terry has already been cleared at a high-profile court case at Westminster Magistrates' Court but the FA decided to hold its own inquiry.

Grant doesn't think Terry should have retired from international football and he's adamant Terry "is not racist" and does not think the FA should have charged him.
