Wallabies hooker returns home

7:14 am on 27 September 2012

The Wallabies hooker Stephen Moore is on his way home from South Africa with a hamstring injury which has prematurely ended his Rugby Championship.

Moore had been set to become the most capped hooker in Wallabies history in Pretoria this weekend, overtaking Jeremy Paul with the pair currently both on 72.

But the 29-year-old has re-injured the troublesome hamstring which has forced him to miss the past two tests.

Queensland's James Hanson is on his way to join the Wallabies as Moore's replacement.
