Storm dominant in NRL Grand Final

The Melbourne Storm dominated the National Rugby League Grand Final to beat the Canterbury Builldogs 14-4 in a drama-filled contest marred by an accusation of biting.

Melbourne, who lost their 2007 and 2009 titles due to salary-cap breaches, scored three tries to Canterbury's one to win their second premiership in front of 83-thousand at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

The Storm's victory could have been greater but captain Cameron Smith had an off-day with the boot, kicking just one of his four attempts at goal.

No points were scored in the second half after a controversial first 40 minutes in which the Bulldogs' English prop James Graham was accused of biting the Storm fullback Billy Slater, whose ear was visibly bleeding, and he later made an official complaint.

The Storm's playmaker Cooper Cronk was named man of the match after a brilliant first half in which he had a hand in two tries.
