NZ fade to fifth, Ko low individual at world team champs

The New Zealand women's golf team faded slightly to finish in a tie for fifth on the final day of the World Amateur Team championship in Turkey, while Lydia Ko took individual honours.

New Zealand started the final round tied for second, five strokes behind South Korea, and they matched the Korean's final round total but were overtaken by three other teams.

The defending champion Korean's won with a total of 563, Germany were second on 566, Finland and Australia shared third on 567 and there was another shot back to New Zealand.

World number one Ko's 14-under par 274 was the best individual total by six strokes, and the lowest score in the history of the championship.
