White Ferns qualify for Twenty20 semi final

The New Zealand women's cricket team have a place in the semi-finals of the Twenty20 world cup after an eight-wicket win over host nation Sri Lanka at Galle.

Having won the toss and opted to bat first, Sri Lanka set the White Ferns a target of 90 to win.

The visitors completed the chase in convincing fashion, bringing up victory with more than four overs to spare.

Sophie Devine and Amy Satterthwaite topscored for the White Ferns - scoring 23 and 32 not out respectively.

New Zealand play England or Australia in the first semi-final later this week.
