An announcement is imminent on who the next coach of the New Zealand Warriors rugby league side will be, but the players remain in the dark.
Ben Matulino was crowned the Warriors Player of the Year at Wednesday night's annual club awards and the 23-year-old says the team's on the same page as everyone else about the next coach.
Matulino becomes the fifth prop in the club's history to win Player of the Year, joining club greats Joe Vagana, Jerry Seuseu, Ruben Wiki and Steve Price.
He finished well clear of the other nominees, hooker Nathan Friend, rookie centre-back rower Ben Henry, captain Simon Mannering and back rower Feleti Mateo.
The Wellingtonian, who was one the highest scoring props in the 2012 Dally M Awards, created NRL history this year when he became the first NYC graduate from the 16 clubs to make 100 first-grade appearances.
The versatile Ben Henry took out the NRL Young Player of the Year ahead of Elijah Taylor and Konrad Hurrell.
Taylor won the NRL Clubman of the Year award while Hurrell was chosen by fans as the People's Choice.
