The 18-year-old loose forward Ardie Savea will join older brother Julian in the Hurricanes next season, after signing with the Super Rugby franchise for two years.
The former Rongotai College head boy is currently competing in his first ITM Cup campaign with the Wellington Lions, and has previously starred for New Zealand on the world sevens circuit.
In his debut provincial season, he has scored six tries in eight appearances for Wellington.
