Lee needs big finish to PGA tour season

5:30 am on 16 October 2012

The 22 year old New Zealand golfer Danny Lee has earned nearly 500-thousand dollars on the two American tours so far this year, but he still needs a big finish in one of the final two events of the season to earn playing rights on next year's PGA tour.

The top 125 money winners for the year earn full playing rights on next year's PGA tour, and the next 25 have restricted playing rights, and Lee goes into the last two events in 159th place on the money list after his tie for 16th yesterday in California.

He'll be chasing a winner's cheque for 880-thousand dollars at this week's McGladrey Classic in Georgia.
