The Auckland cricketers have won their first group match at the Twenty20 Champions League in South Africa.
Auckland have beaten the Indian side the Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in Cape Town.
After winning the toss Kolkata made just 137 for 6 with Black Cap Brendan McCullum scoring 40 off 35 balls, while Azah Mahmood took three wickets for Auckland.
Mahmood then scored an unbeaten 51 as he guided Auckland to their target with 14 balls to spare.
Lou Vincent made 30 and Martin Guptil 25.
Auckland's next match is against the South African side the Titans on Thursday morning.
