The the injury problems which have beset the Wallabies this year, continue with prop Ben Alexander the latest player affected.

Alexander will miss Saturday's Bledisloe Cup Test against New Zealand in Brisbane with a wrist injury.

He's been replaced by James Slipper, with Sekope Kepu brought into the squad on the bench in his return from a knee injury.

The withdrawal of Alexander is the second change to the team named earlier this week after hooker Saia Fainga'a was forced to withdraw with a broken hand suffered at training.

Fainga'a was replaced on the bench by his James Hanson, who joined the team as a reinforcement during the recent tour of South Africa and Argentina, replacing the injured Stephen Moore.

Should Hanson take the field, he will become the 12th new cap to have featured for the Wallabies in 11 Tests this year.
