Argentine tennis star Juan Martin del Potro stayed in the hunt to claim one of the three remaining places for the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals after winning the Vienna Open title with a 7-5 6-3 win over Slovenian qualifier Grega Zemlja.

It's Del Potro's third title of the year following his triumphs in Marseille and Estoril.

Del Potro currently stands seventh in the race for the Tour Finals starting on November the 5th. Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Rafa Nadal and David Ferrer have already booked their places.

Australia's Samantha Stosur has continued her horror run in elite level finals, the top seed going down to third seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the WTA's Kremlin decider in Moscow.

Former world number one Wozniacki won 6-2 4-6 7-5 for her 20th career title and second this year to level her head-to-head record with ninth-ranked Stosur at 3-3.

Stosur has won just three of 15 finals contested.
