The London Olympic cyclists Shane Archbold and Aaron Gate will get the chance to establish professional cycling careers after signing with the Belgium based An Post - Sean Kelly team.
BikeNZ has been working to establish relationships with several teams in Europe to further develop opportunities for their wider Olympic endurance track squad.
The An Post-Sean Kelly team is currently ranked 13th out of 124 teams on the UCI Europe Tour.
Gate won a bronze medal as part of the team pursuit in London, while Archbold finished seventh in the omnium after winning a silver medal at the 2011 world championships.
