Wiggins says Armstrong too proud to admit to cheating

The current Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins believes the disgraced American Lance Armstrong may never admit to taking performance enhancing drugs, despite being banned for life and stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.

Wiggins says Armstrong is renowned for his stubbornness and he has too much to lose by admitting to cheating.

The Englishman was speaking in Paris after the unveiling of next year's Tour de France route which will start for the first time from the Mediterranean island of Corisca and, in another first, finish at nightfall on the Champs Elysees in Paris.

Wiggins hinted he may not be the Team Sky leader for next year's race as the mountainous route appears to be better suited to his team-mate Chris Froome.
