The Spanish motorcyclist Jorge Lorenzo has won his second MotoGP world championship after finishing second in the penultimate race, the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
Australian Casey Stoner won his home event for the 6th straight year, while Lorenzo clinched the title, when his nearest rival, fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa, crashed out while leading on the second lap.
The final round is in Valencia in a fortnight.
