Ferrer vs Janowicz at Paris Masters

7:26 am on 4 November 2012

The Auckland Open tennis champion David Ferrer will play the Polish qualifier Jerzy Janowicz in the Paris Masters final.

The Spanish fourth seed Ferrer, the biggest surviving seed at the tournament, beat France's Michael Llodra 7-5 6-3 while Janowicz beat another local Gilles Simon 6-4 7-5.

World number 65 Janowicz, who saw off the US Open champion Andy Murray in the third round, used his big serve and his magic touch to see off Simon, ranked 18th, in just 89 minutes.

Ferrer though is coming off his sixth title of the season last weekend at his home Valencia Open, and will be the favourite to win his first-ever Masters crown.
