The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic netball team will have a familiar look to them next season when they defend their trans-Tasman title.

They've retained the Silver Ferns quartet Irene van Dyk, Laura Langman, Casey Williams and Leana de Bruin.

They're also boosted by the return of versatile defender Jodi Tod, who is back after a year out on maternity leave.

Gone from this year are shooter Julianna Naoupu, who's moved to the Canterbury Tactix and defender Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick who's heading to the Southern Steel.

All up, nine players from last year's squad are back.

Jaime Lee Price, the daughter of former Warriors and Australian rugby league captain Steve Price is among four new comers in the squad.
