Clarke entertains thought of victory in Brisbane

The first Australia-South Africa in Brisbane isn't even into its second innings, and there's only one day to play, but the home captain Michael Clarke is entertaining thoughts of an unlikely victory.

Yesterday Clarke joined Don Bradman and Ricky Ponting as the only men in history to have passed 200 three times in the same year, scoring an unbeaten 218 to steer his side to 487 for 4 after they'd been 40 for 3 on the third day.

Clarke hinted last night they'll go all out in today's first session and give themselves a couple of sessions to try and bowl South Africa out.

The biggest problem for Clarke and his team is the hard and true Gabba pitch.
